Keeping the Body Healthy
How can we keep ourselves healthy? We can keep ourselves healthy if we keep our body, home and surrounding, clean. dirty body, home and surroundings are home of many disease-causing-germs, that can make us ill.
Cleanliness of surroundings:
We should keep our surroundings clean. Classroom is a place where you spend most of your time during school hours. You should avoid throwing rubbisg all around. Dustbins and rubbish cans with lids should be placed in different places of the school and these too should be emptied regularly. Spitting around is a very bad habit. Do you know why? Spitting is the cause of spreading many diseases.
Home is another environment in which we live longer than any other place. Regular brooming, washing of floor if it is cemented, cleaning of bath room and kitchen will keep all our family members away from many diseases, Rates, mice, insects must be killed. Eating items should always be properly covered to avoid flies. Flies are the main cause of spreading germs. Proper and regular spray of insecticide help us to keep our home free of flies and mosquitoes.
Personal Hygiene:
Personal hygiene keeps a person fit and healthy. It is the saying of Holy Prophet (S.A.S) "cleanliness is half of faith". Cleanliness is an important aspect of our religion. Cleanliness of body is very much emphasised in our religion. Performance of ablution five times a day before prayers reflects the importance of cleanliness of body in Islam.
You should clean your teeth before going to bed at night and also before and after breakfast in the morning. It will make your mouth germ free and make your breath pleasant. It will also protect your teeth from cavities and decay.
Taking bath everyday keeps you fresh and active the whole day. Washing of body remove all kinds of germs from your skin.
Trimming of nails and regular brushing of hair are also good habits. Long nails usually deposit germs underneath them. These germs may enter into the body through mouth and cause many diseases.

Washing your hands with soap after coming from toilet.
Always wear clean and properly pressed clothes. Ironing of clothes kills germs of your clothes.
